International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR)
On April 25, 2011, the leadership of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) proposed to establish a new ISPOR Russia HTA Chapter as part of its framework. Two years after its inception it became one of the most effective ISPOR Chapters taking into account the number, level and significance of the scientific and educational activities which were held under its auspices.
is headed by V.V. Omelyanovskiy, MD, PhD The Chapter’s members include representatives of medical research centers, medical community, clinical
pharmacologists, pharmacists, pharmacoeconomists, health economists and
healthcare administrators from both the federal and regional levels. The base
organizations of the Chapter are the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization
National Center for Health Technology Assessment (ANO NCHTA) and the Center for HTA of the Institute of Applied Economic Research at the Russian Presidential
Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (CHTA IAER RPANEPA).
Chapter’s objective is to analyze international and domestic experience in
order to develop and advance scientific methodology of complex HTA based on the
principles of evidence-based medicine and clinical and economic analysis.
Application of the most advanced HTA approaches in Russia will lead to increased quality of medical care and promote effectiveness of the healthcare
system in general. Individual membership in the ISPOR Russia HTA Chapter opens up access for Russian specialists to the latest research and methodologies
in the HTA field, allow them to exchange experiences with international colleagues
as well as to participate in the scientific activities and conferences organized

EUnetHTA unites HTA agencies
from European countries as well as departments of the ministries of health and
research teams specializing in HTA. The Network is participated by 63
organizations from 32 countries, including all EU-member states and several
other European countries (Norway, Switzerland, Russia and Turkey). EUnetHTA’s
key objective is to encourage harmonization of HTA approaches in different
countries of Europe as well as foster introduction of HTA in countries with
limited experience in this field.
Staff members of ANO NCHTA and CHTA IAER RPANEPA participate in the Work Packages under the framework of the EUnetHTA Joint Action 2 Program for
